There are a number of ways you can engage with our Connecticut Senators during the last couple of weeks of this month's Congressional recess to urge them to take immediate action on H.R. 4719 when they reconvene for two weeks in September. H.R. 4719 makes permanent five important charitable giving incentives, including the enhanced deduction for conservation easement incentive, that support the critical work of nonprofit organizations across the country. Without Senate action prior to the end of the year and the 113th Congress, the tax extender provisions will remain expired and the House-passed bill to make them permanent will become defunct.
