The Water Planning Council (WPC) has been charged pursuant to state statute (C.G.S. section 25-33o) to prepare, within available appropriations, a state water plan for the management of the water resources of the state, in accordance withPublic Act 14-163, by July 1, 2017. The University of Connecticut has offered to provide services at no cost to the WPC, under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), to assist in the creation of the state water plan. WPC is soliciting public comment on the MOU, and on other details on the proposed approach to developing the plan. Deadline for public input is September 5, 2014.
