Open Space & Watershed Land
Acquisition Grant Program
February 1, 2018 Deadline
The CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is accepting applications from municipalities, non-profit land conservation organizations, and water companies for the next round of the competitive Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program .
The Department will be awarding grants to projects that offer the highest conservation and recreational value - and that leverage the greatest percentage of private and municipal funding.
DEEP is also accepting applications from municipalities (often in partnership with non-profits) under the competitive Urban Green and Community Garden Program .
Grants for the above programs will be based on the merit of the project and the level of funds available. Funding for these grants is derived from State Bond funds and/or from the Community Investment Act (CIA). DEEP is accepting applications, but awards will not be made until funding becomes available.
