All summer long we are telling conservation success stories from across the state and seeing how open space benefits our community.
The Trinity Preserve is an important part of Cornwall's history and ecology, protected by the Cornwall Conservation Trust, as it provides a continuous piece of forest that helps to conserve over 1000 acres in combination with Cornwall Conservation Trust's Brokaw Preserve and Housatonic State Forest. In addition to forest, the property boasts numerous deep ravines, boulder fields, and tributaries to the Housatonic River. We'll hear from the Cornwall Conservation Trust about the history and importance of this stunning property, funded in part by DEEP's Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition grant.
